Social Media Manager (Part-Time/Contract)
About the Role
Location: In-Person/Remote (Preference for Bay Area-based candidates)
Hours: Flexible, approx. 15-20 hours per week
Compensation: Based on experience
We are looking for a creative, organized, and self-motivated Social Media Manager to help grow and engage my online presence across multiple platforms. This role is ideal for someone who understands creative storytelling and healing work or is eager to learn. You will play a key role in expanding the reach of our community work.
Responsibilities
Content Creation & Curation
Develop engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube (Reels, stories, posts).
Create visually appealing graphics and videos using Canva or other editing tools.
Write compelling, insightful captions that align with my brand voice.
Repurpose long-form content (such as live sessions, classes, and blog posts, etc.) into bite-sized, shareable posts.
Community Engagement
Respond to comments and DMs in a timely and thoughtful manner.
Interact with our audience to build relationships and trust.
Engage with aligned accounts to increase brand visibility and reach.
Strategy & Growth
Plan and execute a content calendar that aligns with our offerings, and events.
Research trending topics, hashtags, and formats to increase engagement.
Monitor analytics and provide insights on what’s working and areas for improvement.
Brainstorm and implement strategies to grow my following and increase brand engagement.
Marketing & Sales Support
Promote BE-IMAGINATIVE workshops, courses, and digital products in a way that feels organic and authentic.
Support email marketing efforts (e.g., drafting newsletters, scheduling posts for launches).
Coordinate collaborations or features with aligned brands, influencers, or platforms.
Qualifications
Experience managing social media accounts for brands, businesses, or personal brands.
Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube growth strategies.
Creative eye for design and ability to create visually appealing content.
Strong writing skills with the ability to craft engaging captions and storytelling posts.
Basic video editing skills (Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts).
Experience with scheduling tools (Later, Planoly, or Meta Business Suite).
Passion for healing work, and storytelling for communities is a plus.
Self-starter who can take initiative without needing micromanagement.
Bonus Skills (Not Required but Preferred)
Graphic design experience (Canva, Photoshop, or Adobe Suite).
Email marketing experience (Mailchimp, Flodesk, or ConvertKit).
Ability to write social media-friendly blogs or newsletter content.
