ayesha walker

Co-Founder & Cheif Executive Officer

Ayesha Walker is the co-founder and CEO of BE-IMAGINATIVE, embodying roles as a dedicated mother, artist, and educator. She is recognized as an alchemist, skillfully transforming pain into passion and empathy into action, creating meaningful opportunities for herself, her family, and her community. Ayesha is a catalyst for change, drawing from a diverse background in youth development, nonprofit organizations, and over 15 years of experience in media production, brand development, and performing arts.

With a strong history in secondary and post-secondary education, Ayesha has pioneered multimedia programs such as Youth Radio's youth training initiative, UCLA's multimedia department within the Community Programs Office, and Richmond California Preparatory Academy's digital media course. She embarked on her career in photojournalism at Youth Radio in 2005, covering a range of impactful events including Democratic National Conventions, the Women’s Leadership Forum featuring keynote speaker First Lady Michelle Obama, and Michelle Obama's inaugural commencement speech at UC Merced.

In recognition of her contributions to arts and culture, Ayesha became the youngest member of the Richmond Arts and Cultures Commission in 2008. In 2012, she served as President Barack Obama’s Delegate for the Democratic Party. Ayesha also sits on the board of directors for The Song Remedy, is an advisory board member of culture therapy, and serves on the advisory board of POWR, further extending her commitment to initiatives that promote healing, creativity, and cultural empowerment within communities.

Currently, Ayesha holds a B.A. in World Arts & Cultures from the University of California, Los Angeles.
